Turquoise embroidered necklace FINISHED!

Necklace is finally finished!  Considering this is my first fully embroidered collar necklace I am VERY pleased with how it's turned out.  :)  Once I get a better picture of it I will get it listed on Etsy and see if it sells.

Now on to my next idea.  :)

Turquoise embroidered necklace Day FOUR

I've been busy working on orders so had to put aside my necklace for awhile.  However, I have been able to make some progress.  I will be working on getting more ereader covers made up so there may be a few days with no new postings of the necklace.

Also here's new ereader cover design I've come up with.  If you are interested in it please check out BlackKatKreations.  There are only 5 of these available so don't miss out on getting one!

Turquoise embroidered necklace Day THREE

Today I only got to work for a short time on the necklace due to other more important life things going on.  But this is what I've completed thus far.  Picture turned out much better as well.  I used my hubby's camera.  Looks like I need to be purchasing a better camera soon, huh?

Turquoise embroidered necklace Day TWO

I have to apologize for the pictures.  For some reason I just can't seem to get the light under control so you are missing the definition of the turquoise stones and the sparkle of the swarovski beads.  Maybe before this has been completed I'll get it right!

Today I worked on adding swarovski crystals and turquoise beads around the centerpiece of the necklace as well as finishing the peyote beading around the square turquoise cabochon.

It's a slow process with me.  Between playing doorman for the dogs, getting breakfast and lunch made for the family and doing the dishes in between.  Then running whatever errands are needed for the day sometimes I'm surprised I ever get anything done!  LOL

Turquoise embroidered necklace Day ONE

Ever since I first started beading I've slowly been working up the courage and gathering skills to make a full bead embroidered necklace just like Sherry Serafini makes.  Granted, I'm no Sherry, but I would love to create something as beautiful as she has.

I'm going to share my progression on my first piece and share the things I have learned along the way as well as my hardships.

For me, figuring out my shape has been challenging.  But I finally decided - if the shape changes after I get going - so be it.  I'm going to let the piece tell me what it wants.  But I did stitch out a design I'd like to have.  LOL

After deciding where I wanted my stones, what shapes and measured to make sure they were even, I got started.  One thing I have learned..............the type of beads and size does make a difference in your peyote stitching around the cabochons.  Starting, taking out, starting again.  Eventually I was able to get all 3 stones covered.  Now to figure out what to do next.  Hmmmmmmmmmmm
