Japanese Lantern Quilt Blocks

I've been working on Japanese Lantern quilt blocks for my daughter.  What started off as just a wall hanging has now turned into a queen sized quilt.  She wants it to be a tied quilt and not a quilted quilt.  Reason being.........she doesn't like the weight of quilts or the way the stitching feels on her face.  Hmmmmmmmm  Can't say I've ever heard that one before!  Either way, these blocks are coming along nicely.  I found the pattern at http://www.quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore.html and have fallen in LOVE with paper piecing!
